April 13 2024: I've definitely learned a lot this semester, I realized that I have a passion for drawing and how much I enjoy it. I understand light side, cast shadows, form shadows, highlight, and reflected light. Not to say I'm a master at them, I still need to practice to confidently say I'm a wiz at this.  I also need to work on my proportions, angles, and perspectives, because whenever I draw my lines, they seem always go off balance and not accurately portrayed my drawings. I got a sense of what the values are, just need to practice on what's light and dark. Out of all the projects we've done I say drapery and landscape was the most challenging. Drapery can be difficult to draw in terms of finding the chiaroscuro, from beginning to end it was hard to find the cast shadow, form shadow, highlight, and reflected light. Landscape on the other hand is a whole different beast. Because I had to fill in every single detail in order to accurately portrayed the photo. Cityscape was fairly easy, but I ran into issues with finding the perspective and angles. Overall, I had a lot of fun this semester and I'll definitely perfect my skills as an artist to work for companies like Netflix and Warner bros. animation.  I also work like to work at anime and video game companies as well.
